About
Throughout his career in electrical systems delivery, Mark Thek has combined organizational leadership acumen with an in-depth knowledge of manufacture and design. He currently leads as president of Leach International, a subsidiary of Esterline Power Systems in Los Angeles. There, Mark Thek has spearheaded a number of key projects, including the installation of a ground fault interrupt (GFI) relay on the Airbus A380 airliner. Using proprietary electronic circuit technology, the relay uses sensors to protect against ground faults.
Promoted to his current role after serving as the company's executive vice president and earlier as vice president of engineering, Mark Thek also served as physicist and engineering director of Hughes Aircraft Company. There, he created and developed advanced microwave amplifier products for aircraft radar. The designer of nanosecond radar receiver protector Multipactor, he has received a patent for this and for a solenoid isolative coating that endures extremely high temperatures.
Mr. Thek holds a bachelor of science in physics from Cornell University and a master of science in the same field from the University of California, Los Angeles. There, he used Raman spectroscopy to create innovative techniques for molecular branding.Education
